La Robla will make its debut hosting La Vuelta Femenina by Carrefour.es in a stage that will crown this edition’s winner. Following La Vuelta 24’s passage through the province, León will once again experience the excitement of cycling, this time with the women’s edition of the race.
CULTURE
La Robla is a transit point for the Expreso de La Robla, a tourist train that runs along Northern Spain, between Bilbao and León. Its route crosses natural landscapes and historical towns, making several cultural stops along the way.
SPORTS
The La Robla Sports Gala is one of the most important dates on the local sports calendar. The municipality encourages practicing sports and pays tribute to La Robla’s leading sports figures in an event that is already 25 years old.
GASTRONOMY
Born on the railway of La Robla, the olla ferroviaria is a symbol of local gastronomy. This stew, cooked slowly inside a metal container, allowed train drivers to prepare hot meals during long journeys. Nowadays it continues to be a traditional dish served during get-togethers and special occasions.

The La Robla railway runs along 335 kilometres between the municipality of León and Bilbao.
