Elise Chabbey (Canyon//SRAM): “Ricarda has shown that she is one of the best climbers in this Vuelta Femenina”

It was a bit painful in my knee but, when we started racing hard, I noticed more pain in my legs and my heart – so it was fine! We are glad because Ricarda [Bauernfeind] was feeling good and was able to show she is one of the best climbers in this Vuelta Femenina. As for me, I could claim some points in Navafria to keep this polka dot jersey. All in all, it was a nice stage for us. Winning the QOM classification is not our biggest goal. Our real goal is to win a stage and to be up there in the GC, but if I can I will try to keep this polka dot jersey, for sure.
