Silvia Persico (UAE Team ADQ): “Very pleased with the way we have raced here”

It hasn’t been a great Vuelta Femenina for me, but I’m very pleased with the way we have raced here as a team. I knew I wasn’t the leader, so on a personal level getting away with the 4th place I got in yesterday’s stage is fine. I would have preferred to win a stage, of course, but anyway I’m happy. We hope to do better in the next few races. It is not the first race on which we finish as the best team. We know that, when we all race together with a shared goal, we are a great squad. Thanks to my teammates and to all the team staff, we have raced a very good Vuelta.
