Vittoria Guazzini (FDJ-Suez): “Everything seems easier with Demi”

Vittoria Guazzini (FDJ-Suez) is a teammate of Demi Vollering, who won Stage 5 of La Vuelta Femenina 25 by Carrefour.es and is the overall leader after five stages.

“We are very happy we have been able to follow our plan and succeed with it. We had been unlucky in the first few days, with some crashes. We are glad we have a leader like Demi - with her, everything seems easier. Cycling is unpredictable, and victory is never assured, but our chances increase with Demi - and the pressure too! Our motivation is sky high thanks to her. On a personal note, I am happy that despite my two crashes I have kept the right mindset to keep helping the team.”
