Anna van der Breggen (Team SD Worx-Protime) won Stage 4 of La Vuelta Femenina 25 by Carrefour.es.

“It feels really good. I didn’t expect this, as it was not the team’s plan. I found myself at the front in the descent. The speed was down and I found it was a good moment to attack and go solo. The original strategy was to try and win with ‘Gerrie’ [Femke Gerritse] again. We knew the last climb could be hard, and I just wanted to be there along with some teammates - yet the group turned out to be very small! This victory is so nice. Yesterday was such a good day already, as we could see Femke win and get some confidence that he can beat a great sprinter like Marianne [Vos]. Things are going really well for us. As for tomorrow, it will for sure be a hard-fought stage as the speed uphill was pretty high today already. Anyway, this one is already in the pocket!”
